We have a thorough and rigorous search process, backed by the largest search research team in China, we often complete our searches ahead of schedule. We believe in mapping the full potential universe of candidates in as timely a manner as possible, to ensure that only the most qualified candidates are hired.
This is an “example” for your reference of our standard schedule and process for conducting a search assignment:
Week 1 Stage I - Preparing the full brief. This involves developing the company and departmental profile, together with drafting our job description plus candidate and research specifications. After approval by you, the initial parts of this brief can become the marketing document for the job and, with discretion, are given to preferred candidates.
Weeks 2,5 Stage II - Research. Initially we would present a company target list in order to clarify where we intend to search. Once this has been agreed we compile a comprehensive universe list of relevant people within those companies. This is followed by more detailed research whereby we use our own extensive database, company and market information sources, and contacts in the market to delete those who are known not to be suitable. We then present the Long List of possible candidates to you for final agreement on who to target.
Weeks 2,5 -3 Stage III - Approaching and Interviewing. We contact all agreed candidates and outline the job conceptually on the telephone. Our approach varies according to the role, seniority, and type of organisation each candidate is currently with, as a professional search firm, we find that most people are happy to talk to us in confidence. Our task is then to interview, and to assess each person's suitability, motivation and aspirations, so that we can tailor our marketing and the job in the most relevant way to attract the best candidates. We produce a Shortlist of the most suitable candidates, and submit their details to you for discussion.
Weeks 3-3,5 Stage IV - Arranging interviews and negotiating. We arrange for you to meet those candidates whom you have selected to see and co-ordinate the interview process. Debriefing and feedback is then particularly important, to ensure that we nurture the most likely candidates, provide you with advice for further meetings. We also can assist in structuring and negotiating the package as appropriate. We normally conduct employment and personal reference checks once an offer has been issued and accepted.
After completion Stage V - Follow up. During the first week of employment we talk both to the successful candidate and to you, in order to check that the settling-in phase has begun smoothly. We normally follow this up again after two to three months to ensure that everything is progressing well.
We share all our research about their searches with our clients, enabling them to better plan their future people growth strategies.
